Troubleshooting

Most Latte hiccups come down to a dropped connection or a feature that lives on the other platform. Here are the quick fixes, worst-first.

Something isn't updating

Latte keeps your devices in sync over a live connection, so changes normally appear on their own. If that connection drops for a moment you'll see an You are offline. banner; Latte reconnects and catches up automatically once you're back online.

If a screen still looks out of date after that:

  1. Wait for the You are offline. banner to clear — that means the live connection is back.
  2. If the view is still stale, reload the page in your browser.
  3. Still stuck? Sign out from the menu and sign back in.

You can't sign in

Latte signs you in with Google — that's the only account type. If sign-in fails, check your internet connection and try again; a canceled or interrupted Google prompt just needs another attempt. See Sign in to Latte for the full flow, or Try the demo to look around without an account.

A feature is missing on your phone

A few setup tasks — like registering courses and painting your school schedule — happen only on the web app. On mobile you may reach a screen that reads "This feature is only available on Latte, web version for now." Open Latte on a laptop or desktop to finish those, then everything syncs back to your phone. See Web, desktop, and mobile differences for the full split.

Latte's website won't load on your phone browser

The web app is built for a laptop or desktop screen and shows a "Latte web is not accessible on mobile" prompt in a phone browser. Install Latte for Android or Latte for iOS instead.

An event won't delete

If Latte tells you it can't delete an event because it's "synchronized from another source," that event came in from Google Calendar or a group. Delete it at the source and the change flows back to Latte — see Delete an event.
