Latte is made for adults, so there's a one-time confirmation the first time you sign in, plus a cookie choice and easy links to the legal documents. Here's what each one is and where to find it later.
Latte is available to adults only — you must be 18 or older to use it.

The first time you sign in, a Welcome to Latte card appears ("Latte is made for adults. Just one quick confirmation before you start."). Tick I confirm I am 18 years of age or older. and I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

Click Continue. Latte records your choice and lets you straight through next time.

A cookie notice appears along the bottom with two buttons that look the same: choose Essential only to keep just the cookies Latte needs to run, or Accept all to allow optional analytics cookies. Nothing analytics related runs until you answer, and Essential only keeps it off on that browser, even if you said yes on another device.

To change your mind, open the Privacy Policy page and click Change cookie choice. The cookie notice comes back so you can choose again, and the change takes effect straight away. The page also shows the choice you made on this browser and links to the full policy at privacy.latte.study.

You can open the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service any time from the links on the sign-in screen.

The first time you sign in on the phone, the same Welcome to Latte card appears — tick the 18+ confirmation and the Terms/Privacy agreement, then tap Continue. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy open from the buttons under the checkboxes.

The card also offers Share anonymous usage data to help improve Latte. This one is optional and starts switched off — leave it alone and Continue works exactly the same.

Later, open your profile by tapping your avatar in the top bar.

Scroll to the Other section. Share anonymous usage data is there as a switch, so you can turn it on or off whenever you like — the change takes effect immediately, with no need to restart the app.

Text an AI wrote
Some text in Latte is written by an AI. Wherever that happens it carries the same label:
AI-generated — written by an AI assistant from your own material. Check before you rely on it.
Three things that label is promising you:
- It is always there. If text was produced by a model, it is labelled — the same wording, the same place, every time. Unlabelled text was written by a person or assembled by ordinary rules.
- It is built from your own material — your notes, your courses, your calendar, your tasks. It is not a general-purpose chatbot with an opinion about your subject, and it is not drawing on other students' private material.
- It can still be wrong, and checking is your job. An AI summary of your own notes can misread them. Read it as a starting point, never as a source.
Two more things worth knowing:
- Latte has no grades. There is nothing anywhere in the product that stores a mark, a grade or a GPA, so no AI feature can read one, rank on one, or predict one.
- Coursework rules are set by your school, not by Latte. If your course restricts the use of AI, that restriction applies to anything you produce with help from an AI feature here.
Erasing your data
You can delete your Latte account and everything in it yourself, permanently, from inside the app — see Delete your account.
