Report a member

If someone in one of your groups is behaving badly — harassment, spam, anything that isn't okay — you can report them. Any member can, not just the group's owner or moderators.

  1. Open the group from Groups and switch to its Members tab.

  2. Find the person in the list and click the flag icon next to their name.

  3. Describe what happened. This is optional, but it helps.

  4. Click Report. You'll see a confirmation that the report was sent.

What happens next

The person you report is not told who reported them. Latte stores a one-way hash of your identity with the report rather than your account reference, so the report can't be traced back to you from the group.

Reports are recorded against that member in that group. You won't get a reply, and reporting someone doesn't remove them from the group — if you're the owner or a moderator and you want them gone, use Kick from the group on the same Members list as well.

note

Blocking another user isn't available in Latte yet. If someone is contacting you directly and you want it to stop, reporting them in a shared group is currently the only action available inside the app.
