The Today tab
The Today tab is where Latte opens on your phone — your at-a-glance answer to "what should I do now?". It's the first tab in the bottom bar: the recommendation card sits at the top, and Today's schedule below it lays out everything on your calendar for the day, in the order it happens.
-
Tap the Today tab — the lightning-bolt icon at the left of the bottom bar. Latte lands here by default, so you're usually already on it when you open the app.

The recommendation card at the top names the single task worth starting now. Tap Just start — 10 min to begin a focus session with a soft ten-minute goal, or use Focus, Start, Not now or Mark as done. See Find your next best task.
-
Read down Today's schedule. Each item shows its name and start–end time, with an icon for its type — a flag for a deadline, a check-circle for a task, and a calendar icon for a plain event. Items are sorted from earliest to latest.
-
When your day is clear, the list shows Nothing scheduled today. — a good sign, or a cue to add something from the calendar.
-
At the bottom of the tab, Import deadlines from a syllabus (PDF) turns a course syllabus into tasks — see Import deadlines from a syllabus.
Today's schedule is a read-only snapshot. To create, move, or open an event, head to the Calendar — see Calendar views and Create an event.
The floating Capture button sits above the tab bar on every screen, Today included — tap it to jot a note or snap a photo without leaving what you're doing. See Quick Capture.
